I have bought a number of projectors in the last 4 years. Some have been well made, have great automatic focus and keystone, and even a couple had great speakers and sound, but they all had one thing in common. An overall dark picture. Even if the colors were clear and true, the overall picture was dim and dark. Not the case for the Emotn N1 projector. It has an instantly noticeably brighter picture than anything else I have ever owned, and the native 1080p picture is beautifully clear with bright and vibrant colors. LOVE this projector . I have owned it now for almost a month. With the other projectors I actually had a hard time seeing/picking up the football when watching football games due to the darker picture...not good. With the Emotn N1, the field, uniforms and most importantly the football are easy to see thanks to the brighter picture of this projector. I think is has 500 ANSI lumens. Also the sound is quite good from the Dolby speakers, but I opted to use my Bose speaker which sits just behind my 120" screen. If you don't have a bluetooth speaker, don't worry the built in speakers are very good. Currently I set up the projector too far away from the screen to use the auto focus and keystone, but manually I was able to get a crystal clear picture that fits my 120" screen absolutely perfectly. It is licensed for Netflix which is great and signing in was easy by entering the supplied code on my laptop. Same for Amazon Prime and Youtube. No need to remember your password. I do have a YouTubetv subscription and that app is not available, so to watch that and NFL Season Ticket I use my Roku streaming stick. Not a big deal as it's small and just looks like an additional cord. The bluetooth speaker matches up perfectly with the on screen dialogue, no lag at all. The bottom has the thread for a tripod, and also has a little flip up kick stand under the projector. I have mine on a tri pod with a shelf and it is perfect. It was hard to find many US based reviews for this projector..Amazon only had 5 at the time I purchased the Emotn N1, but I did find some very good and convincing reviews of this projector on YouTube, and they really sold me. So glad I bought this projector, and you will be too. Great price for a great projector.

Others have already praised the picture quality, so i will focus only on the aforementioned shortcomings.

First of all, HDR not working over HDMI and on the Prime Video preinstalled app.
Last but not least, the impossibility to perform a proper calibration on the projector due to a lack of a CMS or even basic RGB gain and offset controls.

I hope in a future software update.

I recently bought the Emotn N1 Netflix Smart Projector, and it's absolutely amazing! Here's why I love it:

Awesome Picture: The picture quality is stunning! It's like having a mini theater at home. The colors are vibrant, and everything looks so clear and detailed.

With the built-in Netflix app, watching shows and movies is a breeze. No need to hassle with extra devices or cables. It's all right there on the projector.

I can easily connect to Wi-Fi and stream content from different sources. Plus, the projector has built-in speakers, so I don't need external ones. It's super convenient!

Setting it up was super easy and its incredibly responsive, seriously very responsive no lag at all. Just plug it in, adjust the focus, and voila! I was ready to start watching. The user interface is straightforward.

The projector is lightweight and easy to move around. I can take it to different rooms or even outside for movie nights. It feels sturdy and well-made too.

Overall, the projector is a fantastic addition to my home entertainment setup. The picture quality is incredible and it's so simple to use. I highly recommend it to anyone for this price you are getting a very decent projector.

Original review: Apparently, this projector only works with an android phone. I purchased the N1 with a specific job in mind. I wanted to project pictures from my iPhone. Screen mirroring doesn’t work. Someone suggested an HDMI cable with an authentic iPhone adapter ($44.) I tried it and still didn’t get a picture to screen. I’ve contacted the company twice and have had no response. The Amazon ad never mentioned the projector is for androids only. If it had, I would never have purchased it.
Update:
The company has gone out of its way for a solution. While they couldn’t fix the iPhone problem, they did reach out to me with a very generous offer to make me satisfied as a customer. I do appreciate their attempt to make this right.

In testing the streaming capabilities of this projector, I found the picture and sound quality to be excellent. It is user friendly and will be great for camping trips.

Small, lightweight projector that so far has worked really well, had access to a bunch of applications as well as netflix that gave us hours of entertainment simply by connecting it to wifi.

Very pleased with the picture, and brightness, for the cost.

This projector is pretty great for the cost.

The image quality once focused and aligned with your screen is very good.

The image is pretty sharp, and plenty bright enough when viewed from in front of the screen. Brightness does fall off pretty quick outside of viewing from directly in front of the screen, but that could be my screen (I don't have another to test it with yet, I will update once I do).

The colors and contrast are also pretty good for the price point. It says it does HDR, but I wouldn't count on that... I think it accepts the signal, but there is no perceived difference to image quality.

Setup on this is quick and easy, and I love that a number of apps are available and even included. Bluetooth setup for connecting to my surround sound system is also a welcomed inclusion.

The unit is fairly quiet during most operation, though can ramp up sometimes to be a little distracting in quiet scenes.

The built in speaker is also surprisingly decent. If you intend to use this as a portable "party" projector the built in speaker will be plenty good enough. In fact, it's probably good enough as a full time sound solution for most people, I personally like my sound to come from the screen or around the room, so to me having the sound come from one spot either behind or next to you is a little odd.

The keystone adjustment works pretty good, though auto doesn't seem to work well at all for my setup. The focus system is also pretty good, and I find autofocus works well so long as you have the unit aligned well and if it misses, it's easy to make a quick manual adjustment via the remote.

This is a great unit for the cost.

This projector is definitely one that is in a class of its own in terms of picture quality, features and ease of access to programs. It’s licensed (Netflix) so the remote control has a button that gives your direct access to Netflix and also Amazon Prime which are the two most frequently used apps in my home. Picture quality is crystal clear and the auto focus feature works well in getting best setting/adjusting your view while in use. I like how it’s easy to carry around from room to room and can be used by placing on a flat surface and not necessarily installing it in one location. The in-built speakers give clear sound and add to its overall functionality. It’s a pricey projector but the picture alone justifies the heavy price tag. It also gives a range of connectivity options with different slots at the back to plug-in the device that you want to use it with. Great quality.

I have been really pleased with this projector. This is my second projector (the first was a budget model), and this one is a vast improvement! Hookup was easy. Menus are clear. The colours and brightness are very good. The picture quality is pretty stunning. The integrated speakers are pretty decent, so I don’t have to hook up a separate system. The fan is quiet, which is really appreciated.

Emotn N1 Projector is definitely a higher end projector. As an officially licensed Netflix projector, it does meet expectations. Many other projectors advertise themselves as HD or 4k resolutions but this is rarely the case or aren't as stunning as this projector. This projector renders very colorful and crisp pictures.
Part of what makes setting this projector up easy is the auto-focus and auto-keystone. I find both worked well and saved some time to setup the projector. You can always go in afterwards to readjust or manually tune it, but it was definitely faster than turning knobs found on most projectors.
The speakers on this projector are 2x5W Dolby Audio. They are a step above some of the other projectors I've had, they are by no means perfect. They do get loud enough and can be satisfactory, however they will often fall behind a true home theatre setup.
The software runs on Linux and presents itself like many smart tvs. There are a good variety of apps that comes preinstalled. One thing I noticed during setup was a page that required you to accept terms and conditions. They made it far easier to just accept all, but if you wanted to look into the details, it would present you with long scrollable legal terms. Choosing deny all would not let you proceed, so I ended up consenting to all than trying to figure out how to get out of some of it. For the most part the software on the projector is responsive and ran well.
This projector is more portable than many other projectors but I feel there are a few things that could be improved in this aspect. There is no way to adjust the angle that the projector is projecting outside of the kickstand. If we wanted this to be more portable, a wider angle of projection would be ideal. Outside of the kickstand, you would need a separate stand or to stack some books to get the projector at the right height for your screen. The lens on the projector doesn't include a cover. For this to be truly portable you'd need a way to cover and protect the lens. And lastly some travel case to carry the projector.
The last thing I would bring up is the controller. It took a while for me to get it to connect to the projector, but once it was setup I had no connectivity issue. I think the reason it took a while was because I didn't know what blinking indicator they wanted me to wait for and how long the process of holding the two buttons on the controller would take. Also, I feel it's easy to accidently power off the projector. When this happens there is like a delay to turn the projector back on. If there was some sort of confirmation that you wanted to turn off the projector it might prevent you from accidently turning the projector off.
Although I might've listed a few shortcomings, I feel the Emotn is a superb projector that provides great imagery for the cost and form factor.

WHAT I LOVE:
- REALLY good image quality!! Although it's only full HD, but the image quality is very good!! Vivid colours, a lot of details showing in the images. I was impressive by this little projector.
- The brightness is more than enough for my needs! This is not going to be bright enough for a brightly-sun-lit living room. But it's enough for the basement, and also for my bedroom. The projector is totally fine with the room's lights on. But it will be much better with the lights dimmed and the blinds closed.
- Very easy to use!!!! The auto fucus and the auto-keystone feature is just makes this project so easy to use!!! The image adjust itself with one click in the settings!!! And it works super well!! I don't need to get a headache eveytime from adjusting images when I move the projector to a new location.
- Good sound quality! There is no bass in the speaker. But it's clear and pretty accurate in the mid to high tones.
It's also pretty easy to connect this projector with my BLUETOOTH speakers. There was no lag/latency with the sounds.
- Fan is not loud. The project will get warm after running for half an hour. But the fans on this project is not loud, and it does not distract me from a movie.

Today we have the Emotn N1 1080p projector up for review. First off this projector is branded with the Netflix app and it works very smooth. The remote is great quality and has all the shortcuts needed. First let’s discuss the Pros and at the end of my review I’ll talk about what I think could be better.

Pros:
-The picture quality is amazing for a projector. I own another projector and this N1 blows it out of the water.
- the auto focus functionality is great. Considering this is marketed as a portable projector, not having to adjust the keystone and focus yourself is just amazing!
- the projector has a nice little flip out stand on the bottom that allows the projector to be placed lower than the screen and works really well.
- the sound is also very good considering the size of the product. Obviously it’s not comparable to a sound bar or anything but it’s loud enough to be heard well even when used outside.
- the remote control somehow works extremely well and doesn’t require you to point it at the projector to work. I was afraid I would have to point the remote behind me to make it work but to my surprise it works even when I point it towards the screen.
- has Netflix built into it natively so you don’t necessarily need to plug in a Chromecast or Firestick. It has an HDMI port if you did wanna go that route though.
- has a 3.5mm jack for external speakers with no lag in sound.

Cons:
The ports are located on the back of the device which makes it somewhat difficult when positioning this up against a wall. If the ports were positioned on the side of the product this would allow the projector to sit flush against the wall or even flat on the floor and project towards the ceiling.
- the projector runs very hot, almost feels like a little heater. Now in the winter this might be a pro but for hot summer nights this can definitely be a con if you are in a small room without ac.

Nice to haves:
For anyone getting into getting their first projector it would be nice to include a white background cloth of some sort with some hooks with 2 sided tape to project onto.

The verdict:

I’m very pleased with this projector overall. It does exactly what I need it to do and meets my needs. It’s very small and portable so it’s easy to move around. Looking forward to the summer and taking this thing outside in the backyard for watching events outdoors while barbecuing or sitting next to the fire pit.

This projector has wonderful picture quality, built in speakers, Netflix, Amazon, YouTube built in. iOS and screencast ( android and windows) Dolby audio.
For this price you also get auto focus, auto Keystone correction and zoom.
The vertical angle is adjusted with a paddle at the bottom that flips out to increase the angle. The four corners do not level or adjust, with auto keystone adjustment it's as important but I find it's always better to be able to adjust and compensate for wobble.

Overall this projector has the features and picture quality of a projector double the price.
