Tips on how to choose a home theater projector--CPU & GPU

CPU refers to the Central Processing Unit, which is one of the main parts of an electronic device. Its main function is to interpret instructions and process data. All operations in the device are read by CPU instructions. It is responsible for decoding instructions and executing them.

Put it simply, it is the brain that processes all the information and is responsible for more than 90% of the data in the electronic device. The speed at which it works directly affects the speed at which the entire electronic device operates. If the brain is slow, how can the system work fast, right?

The main suppliers of CPUs worldwide are Intel and AMD. common CPU suppliers for home projectors are Mstar and Amlogic. for example, the Mstar 6A938 and Amlogic T968.

What is a GPU?

GPU is an acronym for graphics processing unit. It is a microprocessor that processes images and graphics.

Its purpose is to convert the display information required by a computer system into a driver and to provide line scan signals to the display to control the correct display. Mali-T450 and Mali-G71/72 are widely used in home projectors.

What are the differences?

The CPU is like the commander-in-chief of the computing system, while the GPU is the assistant, responsible for the simple but huge arithmetic operations in graphics.

The CPU has relatively low computational power, while the GPU is very powerful.
